Wills is an active member of OWAA, and has written numerous freelance articles including "The Adventures of George & Nan", a humorous short-story series about a piney-woods couple most would consider odd. Nan loved to fish whereas George grumbled at the mere thought of it.  The series was published in Bass'n Gal Magazine and In Fisherman. 

Wills is a NAUI certified advanced open water SCUBA & NITROX instructor (emeritus), and former SSI open water instructor.  She also taught underwater photography. She has written articles for Rodale's SCUBA Diving Magazine, and her underwater photography has been published internationally.

As an underwater video photographer, she has licensed footage to Nat Geo TV, Discovery, Animal Planet and numerous state and federal resource agencies.
